Christian, who is currently working as a Community Relations intern with Person Centered Care Services, created these flyers to be shared. This is a small part of Christian's story, as there is still so much more than this to know about him. Thank you for inspiring others to hopefully share their stories too. #pccsny #disabilityemploymentawarenessmonth

PCCS’ main building (150 Granite Ave.) will be closed on Monday, October 14, 2024. We will reopen to our regular business hours on Tuesday, October 15, 2024. Person Centered Care Services observes Wellness Day on the second Monday of October annually. This day serves as a reminder that taking care of ourselves is not just a personal responsibility, but a vital part of fostering a positive and productive workplace. Wellness encompasses a variety of aspects, including physical health, mental clarity, emotional balance, and social connections. Here are a few ways to prioritize your wellness: Take Breaks: Take a time to recharge. Even a few minutes of stretching or a quick walk can make a difference. Stay Active: Incorporate movement into your daily routine. Whether it’s a quick workout, yoga session, or simply walking during lunch, staying active is key. Practice Mindfulness: Consider integrating mindfulness techniques, such as meditation or deep-breathing exercises, into your day to help reduce stress. Let’s use this Wellness Day as an opportunity to reflect on our well-being and commit to making it a priority not just today, but every day. Together, we can cultivate a healthier and more fulfilling workplace for everyone.

?? Peer-to-Peer Winners Spotlight ?? Every month, we celebrate the unsung heroes at PCCS! Our Staff Nomination program recognizes 2 outstanding employees who go above and beyond, as nominated by their peers, community members, and the people they support. These dedicated individuals embody hard work and dedication, making a real difference in the lives of those we support. Sasha has been beyond helpful in navigating issues related to payroll for the entire agency. She has displayed the utmost patience and professionalism while ensuring that payroll operates smoothly. There was recently some confusion regarding a process, and she took initiative to work with the programs to ensure solutions. She makes herself available 24/7 and is always willing to help in any way she can. We are super thankful to have her on the PCCS team! ?? #pccsny #morethanwork
