Perry County Economic Development Authority - MO

Our hometown of Perryville, Mo was hit by a tornado near midnight this past Saturday. Our team members sprang into action to help those in need opening our Perryville store at 12:30 AM. They stayed open until 3 AM. Several of our neighbors stopped in to grab tarps, lumber, and tools to take care of their homes that had been damaged. Just another example of our great people living our values of hardworking, helpful and service to our communities. Those values have been alive and well at Buchheit, beginning with our founder Rudy Buchheit, all the way through to today! #wagonwheelproud

Since the start of the school year, 14 students from Perryville, St. Vincent and Saxony Lutheran high schools have been participating in an inventive class called Perryville Area CEO (Creating Entrepreneurial Opportunities). According to the program’s creators, the class “immerses students in the business community, where they can develop employability skills.” Carter Blechle, Adalina Deckerd, Ben Huber, Kaleb Huber, Waylon Huber, Lexi Johnson, Maralisa Lopez-Herrera, Savannah Lukefahr, Mirra Pingel, John Schwartz, Marcas Smith, Kennedy Sutterer, Samantha Tomlinson, and Amelia Wilson are the participating students. Instructor Amy Camarillo explained that the program is designed to foster entrepreneurial aspirations in young people while exposing them to the many career and start-up opportunities in their community. The Ranken Technical College Airframe and Power Aviation Maintenance Education Program is ready for takeoff in Perryville! With FAA 147 initial approval being received in October 2024, the program is slated to begin in 2025. Ranken Technical College’s Perryville location had the honor of participating in the Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry Leadership Missouri cohort on their final day in Perryville, MO. We were excited to showcase our students in action and the real-world experiences they receive at all of our locations.
