Today we celebrated the completion of the 102-mile Cardinal-Hickory Creek transmission line with a special event at Madison College in Madison, WI! The college is training the next generation of clean energy workers. Thank you to ITC Holdings Corp. Midwest, ATC, and Dairyland Power Cooperative, who built the line and to the Biden Administration’s Permitting Council Executive Director Eric Beightel, former Trump Administration’s Permitting Council Executive Director Alexander Herrgott, now President & CEO of The Permitting Institute, for leading a powerful program. This project strengthens energy reliability and delivers power to millions in Wisconsin & Iowa Special thanks to Madison Area Technical College for hosting the event and Nick Webber, Organizer, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 953 for joining us. We need more transmission projects like Cardinal-Creek to power America’s growing energy needs.

Today, Director Eric Beightel was pleased to join American Clean Power Association (ACP) to celebrate the new Cardinal-Hickory Creek transmission line! This project received FAST-41 coverage in October 2017, which helped advance the 102-mile line to construction and set the stage to deliver clean power to customers across Wisconsin and Iowa. NEW: The Permitting Council is excited to share that Pantheon Solar is the latest project to receive FAST-41 permitting assistance! If permitted, this solar project 16 miles west of Ely, Nevada is anticipated to power the annual daytime energy needs of approximately 230,000 households. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/eK2RjZtR
