Less than 10% of Permian Basin residents vote, with counties in both Texas and New Mexico falling well below state averages. Our region is seeing incredible growth, but serious decisions about our future are being decided by less than 10% of the population. The Permian Strategic Partnership, along with our members and fellow community leaders, are committed to empowering our growing community with the necessary resources to thrive. Achieving these goals requires a collective effort and deserves all of our participation. Over the past five years, we have supported workforce initiatives in many industries, including energy, electrical, technical and trade work, and healthcare through $13,900,000 in investments. Highlights include funding the construction of the HOBBS MUNICIPAL SCHOOLS Career and Technical Education Center, supporting veterans through the Permian Warrior Partnership, facilitating electrical and HVAC pre-apprenticeship programs through Skillpoint Alliance, and introducing high school students to energy opportunities through a summer internship program.

As our population grows, it is time to invest in improving road safety and infrastructure across our region. This includes road construction and maintenance, advocating for enhanced driver safety, and support for infrastructure funding at the state and national levels. Since the inception of the Permian Strategic Partnership, we have invested $7,800,000, advocated towards $885,000,000 in new road funding, and partnered with local communities, the Texas and New Mexico Departments of Transportation, and state and federal agencies to provide ongoing support for public safety initiatives. We have also supported first-responder agencies by providing emergency equipment and invested in expanding the Odessa Truck Driving Academy. Working together with our partners and our community, we are on the road to a safer #Permian.

Since its formation, the Permian Strategic Partnership has consistently prioritized initiatives designed to expand access to quality healthcare for all Permian Basin individuals and their families. To address a critical shortage of healthcare professionals practicing in the region, the PSP has made a total investment of $58,700,000 to enhance and expand the pipeline for educating and training new professionals in both physical and behavioral health. We have also invested in new facilities essential for delivering quality care and have co-founded a new organization that is developing a vision for improving the health of the entire region, with a particular focus on the challenges faced by our most rural populations. #HealthcareAccess

Education is essential to economic prosperity, personal growth, and societal progress—and we know that when we focus on strengthening educational quality in the Permian Basin, the benefits will extend far beyond our local communities. Over the past five years, the Permian Strategic Partnership has invested $65,100,000 in education initiatives across our region, with programs benefitting students, teachers, school leaders, and public education in Texas and New Mexico. We have opened new schools, funded STEM programming, provided leadership training, launched an energy-focused curriculum, and invested in National Board Teacher Certification. All of our efforts point toward the same goal: to improve student outcomes. #Education #PublicEducation

We are thrilled that TxDOT has allocated $3.9 billion to the Odessa District over the next ten years! We appreciate Office of Texas Governor Greg Abbott and TxDOT's commitment to the Permian Promise. This funding will go towards projects improving mobility and road safety throughout our region!
