So what exactly does, "breaking ground" mean when building a house??? Well, it depends on the lot! ?? This particular lot had a house already standing. So breaking ground meant that we had to demo that house (i.e., tear it down!).??? After demoing, we go about getting the proper permits, and started digging the basement!
