Raw materials supplier Associate Allied Chemicals (AAC) announced the opening of its new sales office in S?o Paulo, Brazil. The company hopes that this new office will strengthen its presence in the Latin American market. “Brazil’s vibrant market and its position as a gateway to Latin America make it the perfect location for our newest international office,” said chief executive officer Satish Gandhi.

Nutrition ingredient company Arla Foods Ingredients has signed a contract manufacturing agreement with Valley Queen, a US-based diary processor. Valley Queen is a dairy processor based in South Dakota. According to the agreement, Valley Queen will produce ingredients from the Nutrilac ProteinBoost product range. “Demand for protein-enriched dairy products continues to grow in the US,” said Luis Cubel, group vice president and managing director of Arla Foods Ingredients. “In order to meet it, and to fulfill our ambitious plans for growth in North America, it was essential for us to significantly increase our capacity for the production of Nutrilac ProteinBoost. At the same time, it was important for us to choose a partner with the right values, history and expertise. We’re delighted to work with Valley Queen, a company with a long heritage which shares our commitment to producing dairy and whey products of the highest quality.”

On February 27, 2025, flavor manufacturer Symrise AG announced the relaunch of its beverage incubator (formerly known as Califormulations) now named bWorks. “Our modular services, from insights and design to prototyping, development and full-scale production, makes us the ideal partner for our customers’ beverage innovation journey,” said senior director of beverages Fernando Levy. “Customers can obtain limited-edition runs, line extensions, regional or national launches, or long-term productions from us. bWorks adapts to customer needs through our bundle services and longstanding flavor expertise."

Sauce brand HEINZ announced the launch of its Flavor Tour line of condiments. This collection includes three sauces inspired by global cuisines. “Americans are hungry for condiments that offer globally-inspired flavor and versatility at an accessible price point, and we saw an opportunity for HEINZ, a beloved and trusted brand, to inspire fun new ways for people to enjoy their favorite foods,” said Angie Madigan, vice president of taste elevation marketing at the Kraft Heinz Company. “Leveraging our expertise in creating some of the world’s most beloved sauces, we designed the Flavor Tour line as the ultimate solution for these fans.”

The global gourmand fragrance market is estimated to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 3.8% from $32.55 billion to $55 billion over the next ten years, according to a new report from Future Market Insights (FMI). “The market is experiencing rapid growth due to an increasing consumer preference for sweet, comforting and indulgent scents,” an analyst said. “Fragrances with notes of vanilla, caramel, chocolate and coffee evoke nostalgia and warmth, making them highly appealing. As consumers look for unique and memorable olfactory experiences, gourmand perfumes continue to dominate both mainstream and niche markets.”

On February 25, 2025, Turpaz Industries Ltd. Industries announced its acquisition of Doucy, a Belgian manufacturer specializing in sweet flavors. Founded in 1968, Doucy is a manufacturer of sweet flavors for food and beverages, as well as colors and additives for the animal feed industry. The transaction includes the acquisition of Doucy’s state-of-the-art plant in the Benelux region. “Joining the Turpaz group is a significant milestone for Doucy,” Guy Peremans, chief executive officer of Doucy, said. “Turpaz’s capabilities, advanced technology and impressive and unique product portfolio in Europe create a valuable opportunity for Doucy to significantly expand its operations, enhance its technological capabilities, diversify its product portfolio and strengthen its presence in Benelux.”
