Our products are used for involving and engaging people in organizational and personal performance improvement. There are two basic product lines: ? Team building games and related activities focused on generating play and active choices which can then be debriefed around issues of organizational change and innovation ? Toolkits focused on the concept of Square Wheels -- things that do not work smoothly with the understanding that we can readily identify Round Wheels Since 1993, we have packaged and supported the use of our team-building tools with a global network of trainers and consultants. I put this up recently in the hope that people will see some of my life's work as interesting. At age 76, one does think of one's legacy even though all things go well. What sets the game apart is that it is about collaboration between teams to optimize overall performance. And the game is an excuse to do a debriefing to help drive engagement and change work cultures toward making better choices about how to improve results and decrease competition. I'd especially appreciate user comments. https://lnkd.in/eajdSuWP

Here is the fifth post in my series of, "What Would (a leader) Do" to impact people and performance in large organizations. This one on one of my person heros in the organizational development field. https://lnkd.in/eytCUu7s

As some of you know, I have been working hard to improve my debriefing tools. I thought that there were 160 or so unique slides among all the different powerpoint files I included with the game. In digging in, I have 330!!! There are the Images, there are a wide variety of quotes, there are a hundred different questions around the key learning outcomes for group discussion and all kind of other slides for many different possibilities. Here is a SIMPLE overview of some of the ideas framed for a discussion on themes of teamwork and optimization of results. There are comments in the notes. I'd love your reactions to these...

I've been blogging a LOT lately so if you want to see some of the new posts, like the one about "What would Tom Peters do?" or a similar one on Peter Drucker, go to the blog page on the performancemanagementcompany dot com website. In working on developing a compendium of my debriefing slides (now at 330!) for The Search for The Lost Dutchman's Gold Mine, I got into a series of questions and comments around closing a session. So, I added my most favorite closing story, The Moose Joke, to the set but also thought to share it here. It is a story about continuous continuous improvement and persistence and accomplishments that relate nicely to the team building and performance themes. Here is a link to the "train-the-trainer" version with a narrative about how to actually tell the joke. (It works globally, for sure. It works great even if people do not know what a moose actually is, like in Hong Kong or Singapore.) Proven with audiences over 35 years, in reality. Have FUN out There! ?? https://lnkd.in/emGQGX9D

Here is an article about how to debrief team building games, using Lost Dutchman as the anchor point but with ideas of general benefit. Our belief is that there is too much competition in most games used for organizational development and that we want to encourage collaboration and reflection on the reality to help design alternatives to improve organizational cultures. We spend far too much money on team building to ignore the reality that people need help in defining possibilities for workplace improvement and the implementation of new ideas.

You might find my summary of how to debrief team building kinds of exercises to be of interest. It anchors to Lost Dutchman but it is about facilitating engagement and generating collaboration. The goal of any activity should be to optimize the reflection and discussions that arise from effective, memorable and actionable discussions of "considered alternatives." ALL of us know more than ANY of us and collaboration is a key approach to driving active involvement and ownership. "Nobody ever washes a rental car," right? https://lnkd.in/ePJ4WYrT

I just posted up a blog about education, academic performance and collaboration; it is an abstract of my long whitepaper focused on building teamwork and a collaborative culture in our schools. https://lnkd.in/eCziDyPM

Digging more and more into AI, the tools are continuing to develop at an amazing pace and my head is spinning around the possibilities. A while back, I posted up about what Bard / Gemini had to say about my Lost Dutchman game. Since then, I have also been blogging about the late Daniel Kahneman and his book, "Thinking Fast and Slow." This link will take you to the blog post about Dutchman and from there, take a look at some of the new posts. Have FUN out There! ?? https://lnkd.in/eiacDP94
