Kicking off the New Year with the Atlanta Preservation Initiative (API)! Last week, we kicked off the 2025 API programming by focusing on a critical topic in the affordable housing landscape: the State of the Capital Markets and Access to Capital. With over 70 passionate attendees joining us, the energy and engagement were truly inspiring! ???? This session centered around three key themes: - Knowledge Sharing: Industry leaders from across the public and private sectors shared invaluable insights on current market trends, innovative financing models, and strategies for overcoming capital access barriers, all with the goal of creating and preserving more affordable housing. ?? - Community Building: We fostered connections between investors, lenders, developers and other industry experts, creating a vibrant ecosystem for collaboration and growth. ?? - Capacity Building: Participants learned of tools and frameworks to enhance their ability to navigate current market conditions and get projects financed. The discussions were rich, the networking was dynamic, and the commitment to creating affordable housing in Atlanta was palpable.
