Today, we proudly welcome the “Miss Madeline” to our hometown of Salisbury, Md., after completing its maiden voyage. Named in honor of Madeline Perdue, the beloved matriarch of the Perdue family, this innovative liquid barge is a milestone in our ongoing commitment to sustainability and innovation. The “Miss Madeline” is more than just a vessel—it’s a game-changer for our supply chain. By replacing truck and rail transportation, it will remove the equivalent of 200 trucks per shipment from busy roadways, eliminating 1.2 million truck miles annually, which equals an estimated 1,475 metric tons of CO2 emissions. This barge exemplifies how we’re working to create a more efficient and environmentally friendly future while honoring our 104-year legacy of care for our communities and our planet. Perdue family members Jim and Jan Perdue along with Rick Lloyd, joined Perdue AgriBusiness representatives Troy Alberts and Perry Aulie at a ribbon-cutting ceremony today to celebrate the barge’s launch and highlight its impact on sustainability and the local economy. I’m still feeling energized from last week’s National Sales Meeting! It was invaluable to spend time in-person with the Perdue commercial team, focusing on how we can come together to keep providing excellent service to our customers so, together we can delight consumers. We focused our time on immersing in the key business priorities to “deliver today” and reimagining how we work to “create the future” and lead the industry. We emphasized the power of cross-functional collaboration, and challenging one another to think and do things differently to serve our customers, consumers, associates and farmers. We also had the chance to celebrate our teams’ successes, including presenting Brian Lemon with the prestigious Robert Breslau Passion for Customer Commitment Award, an award that celebrates the associate who goes above and beyond every day to serve the customer and exemplifies our Perdue values. Congratulations to Brian and to all our team members who were recognized. Let’s stay inspired, harness the Perdue passion, and continue to deliver for our customers!

On Veterans Day we pause to honor the brave men and women who have served our country, but their impact is felt in communities across our country all year long. This morning our Perdue Veteran Associate Resource Group held a ceremony outside our corporate headquarters in Salisbury, MD to honor our military members.?At Perdue Farms we are proud to call many veterans our valued associates. Improving quality of life and building strong communities is at the core of our Delivering Hope To Our Neighbors? outreach. We were proud to help our neighbors in Conoy Township celebrate a new edition – a wooden train – to the Arch Street Playground in Bainbridge, Pennsylvania. The new equipment was funded by a grant from the Perdue Foundation. “The Arch Street playground has been a community attraction for many years and serves the community by providing a safe and fun area for children and families to enjoy,” said Kevin Woleab, manager of the Perdue AgriBusiness crush facility in Bainbridge. “We’re happy to lend our support to the revitalization of the playground.”

Congratulations to our Chief Executive Officer Kevin McAdams who was honored by his alma mater, Iowa State University, with an Outstanding Alumni Award. These awards celebrate the university’s distinguished graduates and are a testament to the many incredible pathways unlocked by the school and its network. It also provided a full circle #PerdueProud moment as this is the second time in recent years we’ve seen our leaders celebrated at Iowa State. In 2019, our Chief Science Officer Bruce Stewart-Brown was also honored by the university. At Perdue Farms we are fortunate to have leaders like Kevin and Bruce who are dedicated to creating opportunities for all our current and future associates to learn, grow and thrive at the company. This morning, our team in Chesapeake, VA was proud to host Rep. Bobby Scott, Congressman for the 3rd District of Virginia, who delivered a $4 million grant to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to deepen the Southern Branch of the Elizabeth River. ? This event at our Chesapeake Deepwater Bulk Terminal commemorates a major step forward to enhance our vessel operations, and is the culmination of years of commitment by Congressman Scott, Senators Mark Warner and Tim Kaine, and our partners at Virginia Maritime Association, The Port of Virginia, and the US Army Corps of Engineers. This team’s partnership and dedication to wider, deeper, and safer channels in this area of Virginia are unmatched, and it was an honor to be a part of this investment in our economy.?
