Sound on: Thousands of high school student athletes representing 113 high schools across three states hit the streets this past weekend to create smiles in the same amount of time it takes to play a game. The massive effort, which took place in #Chicago, #Dallas and #Miami, happens each February - first starting in Chicago in Feb. 2016. Checkout just some of the coverage from #Univision, #NBC and #ABC. From handing out 100 gift cards in one town, which were funded by student-athelte donations to support local small businesses, to delivering gifts and spending time at a local senior center in another town to placing flowers and thank you notes on every car in the employee parking lot at a local hospital, competing student athletes worked together off the field in the #GameOfLife. The feel-good weekend was a part of the #MakingADifferenceOnANDOffTheField campaign presented by Buddy's HELPERS and supported by BODYARMOR Sports Nutrition, DUDE Wipes, TIDL and lululemon. February marks the 110th consecutive month of the campaign, which uses the #PowerOfSport to engage and educate student athletes and coaches about the power they have to enhance the lives of others. Eventually all games and careers come to an end, but the opportunity to make a difference never does. #SelfCareYOUCare #SelfActualization

#NBC/#CBS: High school student athletes across #Chicago, #Dallas and #Miami will be hitting the streets in their communities this week to create as many smiles as possible in the same amount of time it takes to play a game. The massive annual effort is a part of the #MakingADifferenceOnANDOffTheField campaign presented by Buddy's HELPERS. Each February during #RandomActsOfKindnessWeek, 100s of schools and 1,000s of student athletes across all sports - who are normally competitors on the field - team-up in the #GameOfLife to help enhance the lives of people they’ve never met in their own local communities. Along with those local surprise acts, student athletes also work together to surprise area elementary students with new bikes and scooters ahead of spring. Just like professional athletes and teams, eventually the games and careers end on the courts and fields for all high school student athletes. But the impact off can always be felt and continued year after year. February marks the 110th consecutive month of the national campaign, which uses the #PowerOfSport to engage and educate high school student athletes and coaches about the power they have to make a difference in the Game Of Life. WGN-TV coverage: Connecting generations. That’s exactly what #TheKEITH Award does each year when the annual grant is presented to a high school male and female student athlete, two of which - Jocelyn Grabow (Metea Valley/Indiana University Bloomington) and Jay Jilek (Brother Rice High School Chicago) - were LIVE in-studio last week. Named in honor of Keith Melaragno, a longtime Chicagoan who selflessly helped 1,000s of kids, families, schools and communities, the special presentation spotlights student athletes who have enhanced the lives of people they’ve never met on a consistent basis. Thanks to the support of BODYARMOR Sports Nutrition, DUDE Wipes, TIDL and the BODYARMOR Sports Series, a five-figure grant is awarded that may be used toward one of four buckets: College, charity, downpayment on first home or major medical bill. #MoreThanJUSTGames

Love the reaction! Congrats to Alma Cruz!
As #ABC noted: “How cool.” “Well that was awesome.” Odds are you’ll have a hard time disagreeing after you see the authentic reaction from this young female leader. Quite the special moment for a former student athlete turned teacher and mentor in front of nearly 200 student athletes and families on Saturday just outside #Chicago. This surprise marked the 52nd and final effort in 2024 from the #MakingADifferenceOnANDOffTheField campaign presented by Buddy's HELPERS. December marks the 108th consecutive month - 9 straight years. Thanks to the support of BODYARMOR Sports Nutrition, DUDE Wipes and TIDL, Alma will take part in a special skydiving experience in early 2025 and also personally deliver a check to her favorite charity to help enhance the lives of others. #SelfCareYOUCare BODYARMOR Sports Series

We’re Ready, Are YOU?
Earlier this week, high school student athletes apart of the BODYARMOR Sports Series took over the WGN-TV newsroom, which brought back memories of the popular #ESPN commercials featuring professional athletes in the newsroom. It truly was a spotlight of “Chicago’s Very Own” ahead of Opening Day of the 22nd Annual BODYARMOR Series refreshed by DUDE Wipes, which features more than 100 high schools at the same site on the same day - something that doesn’t happen anywhere else in the world. In total, 141 games and more than 10,000 minutes of soccer will be played on three separate days across a week span. While impressive, the most impactful piece is the off-the-field teamwork, which features a focus around #SelfCare. Along with donating hygiene items and helping fill 1,000s of care bags before or after their games on Opening Day to help enhance the lives of others, student athletes also will donate $2 apiece to help purchase new bikes and scooters to surprise elementary children. From the city to the suburbs, public and private schools featuring families and communities of all different backgrounds, it’s long been an equal stage for all student athletes and schools to shine - on AND off the field. #PowerOfSport #MoreThanJUSTGames BODYARMOR Sports Nutrition
