Pepine Gives, a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit established in 2018, emerged from Betsy Pepine's eight-year experience in real estate. Witnessing the pressing need for affordable housing in Gainesville and its adverse impact on vulnerable community members, she founded Pepine Gives with a commitment to invest in and uplift the community. "Our mission is to create a positive, tangible impact on those who need it the most." Our Focus: Dedicated to enhancing housing affordability in the Greater Gainesville area, Pepine Gives continually expands its reach. Founder's Vision: Betsy Pepine founded Pepine Gives to enhance the lives of the underserved by providing them with a comfortable and stable living environment. Housing Affordability Initiatives: - Conducting major repairs and renovations to enhance resident safety and quality of life. - Acquiring, rehabilitating, and selling houses below market rates. - Collaborating with Alachua Habitat for Humanity to construct new homes for cost-burdened families. - Fundraising for local families to improve accessibility and quality of life in their homes. Local Community Engagement: We actively participate in volunteer work, organizing toy, food, and clothing drives, as well as events such as pet adoptions and soup kitchens. Our involvement extends to supporting organizations like Ronald McDonald House and the Humane Society of North Central Florida. Monthly volunteer events encourage our staff to engage during working hours. Charitable Contributions: Pepine Gives facilitates a matching grant of $1000 per year for each agent or staff member to donate to their chosen charities. Additionally, we sponsor local organizations, charities, sports teams, and philanthropic events.
