March’s #POPstar is Brandy Hatchett, PeopleTec’s #Travel Expense & Accounts Payable Specialist!????? ? Brandy has been with #PeopleTec for 4.5 years. When we asked what she enjoys most about her job and team, she shared: "Transitioning from Proposals to #Accounting has been an exciting change of pace. I enjoy simplifying the travel process for employees and bridging the gap between complex policies/regulations and their scheduled trips. ????It's rewarding to play a supportive role that makes a tangible difference. What truly sets this job apart, though, is my incredible team. We tackle demanding work with a shared commitment to supporting both our customers and each other. The camaraderie, trust, and morale we've built make it one of the best teams I've ever had the privilege to work with."?????? ? Brandy also values PeopleTec’s culture, saying: "I love PeopleTec's #PeopleFirst culture. Outside of work, Brandy volunteers with Notorious D.O.G. Dog Rescue, a Huntsville-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating dogs from severe neglect and abuse. She also recently joined her first book club and is excited to dive in!???? ? In her free time, Brandy enjoys yoga, hiking in North and Central Alabama with her dog, Bo, spending time with family and friends (including over 20 nieces and nephews!), getting lost in a good book, and tuning into her favorite self-improvement, wellness, or true crime podcasts.??????? ? Coming from a family of singers and musicians, music is in Brandy’s blood. ??She gravitates toward alt/indie and post-rock, and concerts are a huge source of energy for her. ??She’s thrilled to see Huntsville’s growing music scene bringing in artists she loves. ??PeopleTec’s Veteran Resource Group (VRG) recently hosted a Continuous Learning Program course featuring #Veteran Service Officers from Still Serving Veterans (SSV). ? ??During the session, Terri Womack and Jim King provided a comprehensive briefing on Veteran Benefits & the Claims Process. They also shared insights on how Veterans nationwide can connect with accredited Veteran Service Officers and highlighted SSV’s support services available to North Alabama Veterans. The session concluded with a Q&A, allowing attendees to gain further clarity on these important benefits. ? ??Our VRG is designed to aid with the transition to civilian employment and offers networking, benefit education, and development opportunities.
