For over 31 years, People Helping People (PHP) has supported low-income women, primarily single moms, in achieving financial self-sufficiency through successful employment. With a recent expansion grant from KeyBank, we are thrilled to announce our employment program will now be offered to women in Tooele County, as well as in Cache, Box Elder, and Summit counties. With Tooele's proximity to Salt Lake, a network of volunteers, employers, and resources have been identified who are eager to support expansion efforts. PHP is committed to helping women throughout Utah navigate employment barriers, build confidence, and secure meaningful careers that provide stability for themselves and their families. We need your support to make a difference for women and their children: Refer: Know a woman ready to take the first step toward financial independence? Refer her to PHP. Volunteer: Share your expertise as a coach, mentor, or workshop facilitator. Partner: Help us connect with local employers in Tooele County to expand job opportunities. We believe every woman is capable of extraordinary things. Together, we can support women in Tooele County in their journeys to financial and career success.

Over the past few years, I’ve had the privilege of volunteering with People Helping People of Utah, a nonprofit dedicated to helping low-income women—especially single mothers—achieve self-sufficiency through successful employment. PHP’s mission centers on the belief that the only permanent route out of poverty is an adequate income, and their work empowers women with the skills and confidence to thrive in the workplace. As part of my involvement with PHP, I’ve had the honor of delivering live presentations on topics like "Promotable Personality Traits" and "Resumes That ROCK." These workshops have been incredibly fulfilling, giving me the opportunity to share practical tools and insights that help participants stand out in the job market and build sustainable careers. Witnessing their enthusiasm and determination as they work toward brighter futures has been truly inspiring. Interestingly, I discovered that one of my co-yoga teachers at Salt Lake Power Yoga actually works full time for PHP. This unexpected connection has deepened my appreciation for how our personal passions and professional pursuits often align in surprising ways. (Abby Warr ??)
