#DareToBeYou: Meet Adam! Adam dares to break out of isolation & embrace community. Before joining our Young Adult Life Transitions (YALT) program, he spent his days playing video games alone in his room. Now, he’s out in the world - making friends, helping on a donkey farm, playing sports & even competing in Special Olympics basketball at Niagara University. "Coming here changed my life. I was lonely & now I have friends. I go out & do things that make me happy." This March, as part of the NYS Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD’s) "Dare to Be You" campaign, we celebrate people with developmental disabilities who are challenging stereotypes & living life on their own terms.
