Huge shout out to Nuveen, a TIAA company for their generous $2,000 grant, which helped us purchase 100 gift cards to include in the "Everything but the Turkey" feast bags!?? ?? The team went above and beyond, assembling the bags on-site and including heartfelt notes of inspiration in each one. We couldn't do it without our awesome community partners! If your LA-based organization is looking for ways to give back this holiday season, reach out to PATH Associate Director of Community Affairs & Philanthropy, Laura Birmingham at [email protected] ?? #endhomelessness #giveback #thankful

Grateful to the incredible San Diego and Pasadena Xencor teams who both went above and beyond to support our residents this holiday season! ?? ?? The San Diego team put together over 20 holiday baskets with all the essentials for a perfect Thanksgiving feast, plus grocery gift cards for our residents in supportive housing. We’re so grateful they’ll be able to enjoy a special meal this holiday season! In Pasadena, every Xencor department joined in to assemble Thanksgiving baskets filled with delicious food. In total, over 120 baskets were distributed, and our residents are incredibly thankful for these festive gifts. Thank you for the incredible support, Xencor! Recently, Dr. Tamra Chávez, Regional Director of PATH Santa Clara County, attended the National Lived Experience Leadership Conference, hosted by Destination: Home! We were so thankful to come together with leaders from the National Coalition for the Homeless and other organizations to discuss how to prevent and end homelessness in our community. Reflecting on her experience, Tamra shared: "Ending homelessness is a movement for me. I felt the love and passion in that shared space." #EndHomelessness #SantaClaraCounty #LivedExperience

After 10 years in San Diego's riverbed, Art Bowen and a dozen other formerly homeless individuals have found stability at a new Ocean Beach apartment complex. Their transition to housing with support services was facilitated by PATH and funded through California's $6.8 Million Homekey initiative. #housingsolveshomelessness https://lnkd.in/g23sGUb5

Meet, MacKenzie, a trans Navy veteran who recently made it home. ?? MacKenzie was born in Alabama and joined the Navy after high school. Upon completion of her 5-year commitment, she transitioned and entered film school under the GI Bill. When the pandemic hit, she took a break from school and began to experience depression; eventually she fell behind in rent, was evicted, and experienced homelessness. When MacKenzie connected with PATH’s veterans’ programs, she was able to secure her own apartment through Residential Property Support Services. MacKenzie was recently featured in The New York Times article, “Decline in Veterans’ Homelessness Spurs Hopes for a Broader Solution”, where she shared her story and expressed how services and housing saved her life.
