Verification and visibility for all enterprises that put people and planet before private profit.
关于我们
Around the world there is a growing movement of enterprises that prioritise people and planet over private profit. They include social enterprises, cooperatives, fair trade enterprises, social businesses and others. People and Planet First is a banner that unites this global movement. We provide a verification system, access to resources and collective advocacy. Together, through a network of trusted partners, we are transforming business and building an economy for everyone to thrive within the means of our living planet. No greenwashing and socialwashing. When it comes to verifying this business model, we take our standards very seriously. Every enterprise with the People and Planet First verified badge solves social and/or environmental problems and reinvests the majority of profit for the many, not the few. People and Planet First verification is stewarded by the Social Enterprise World Forum (SEWF) and administered by both SEWF and a network of trusted networks throughout the world.

We believe that organizations prosper when wellness is a central focus – from operations that consider the people they service to employee wellness programs and purchasing with impact in mind,” shared Tracey Abell.

The People and Planet First showcase last week was fantastic, highlighting some of the businesses that make Portland great and generating new ideas and excitement around shifting our economic system to one that serves all forms of life - ecosystems and humans. The pilot program facilitated by The Impact Collective PDX over the last year has started to shift actual purchasing dollars to People and Planet First verified organizations. The more we purchase from local, sustainable businesses, the more we keep money circulating in our own neighborhoods where it can do good. And as always, nice to hang with friends, Funnelbox Video & Animation, Kate Dixon, The Impact Collective PDX, Mighty Epiphyte | Impacts Coach | B CorpGuide & Benefit Reporting at Place to B

2 more days until our People and Planet First showcase event! While we've been focusing on sharing more about the PPF orgs who will be showcasing, this is also an opportunity for us to share the stories of the buyers who were a part of the Impact Purchasing Pilot. Join us this Thursday! RSVP here: https://lnkd.in/gVXhWGHr LAIKA Studios joined our Impact Purchasing Pilot as a Sustainer Sponsor last year with a very particular need - material for their puppet shoes! It's been a blast working with their team and learning more about material sourcing. Crystal Sincoff ????? (Director of People Administrative Services) had this to say about their experience. “Working with The Impact Collective to better align our purchasing with our sustainability goals at LAIKA has been a rewarding experience. With their help we have been able to find resource options in our local community that are People and Planet First in a very niche market. We look forward to continuing our partnership and seeing the local vendor opportunities we will explore in the coming year.”
