Nature, Oceans, Indigenous Peoples, and Gender Day at #COP29 Finance Earth has signed Nature4Climate's COP29 Nature Statement, calling on UNFCCC Parties to properly recognise and substantively finance nature’s role in addressing the climate crisis. Healthy ecosystems are not just co-benefits—they’re cost-effective climate solutions that urgently need dedicated funding with respect for the needs of Indigenous communities. Without this recognition and investment, global efforts to limit warming to 1.5°C risk being undermined. ?? Interconnectedness is the fabric of our living world. What we sense in our work in the land and with the locals in Armeni? and neighboring communities is that life expands and flourishes because of it. That's nature's recipe and gift to people. We can feel it in our 'man-made' society too, it's how positive change happens. An idea inspires a movement and it moves us to enact the change we want to see. We really love how Hina West, put it when she reflects the role and power of social enterprises, often invisible and hindered by the "real" economy and how they make it: "They scale by collaborating with others." Read her blog post here ? https://lnkd.in/dQcukwpf We found it magical to reconnect with Hina in the wild lands where bison roam free & locals inspire us every day to be in service of the global regeneration. Hina and the some of the #wilders of WWF-Romania, go way back and it's really special to relive the power of interconnectedness. WeWilder is now part of the People and Planet First network, a framework to recognize the unseen healing, benefits, services ... you can even call them 'positive externalities' if you like this language - of a generation of not business as usual.
