Navy Successfully Defends Ship from Drone Threat with DRAKE System ???? In a recent operation on the Elizabeth River in Virginia, US Navy crews showcased quick thinking and advanced technology when they successfully engaged an incoming drone using the portable DRAKE Electronic Warfare (EW) system. As the drone approached a naval ship, the crew rapidly deployed DRAKE, which safely disrupted the drone's trajectory without posing any risk to the ship. This successful operation highlights the Navy's commitment to securing its vessels from emerging aerial threats and underscores the power of modern EW in defense operations. ?? Key Takeaway: Advanced systems like DRAKE and well-trained personnel are crucial to safeguarding naval assets in today’s evolving security environment.
