On 7 October 2024, PM AAA held its inaugural Familiarization event.?As part of PM AAA’s revised onboarding process, the event aimed to connect new PMO teammates and others from across the Command with the mission they support, as well as provide a holistic overview of the Marine Corps, history of Amphibious Assault operations, and provide a deep dive into the PM AAA program office’s mission, vision, organizational structure, and the capabilities of the Amphibious Combat Vehicle (ACV) mission-role variants. “It’s critically important that our team members know the mission they support and the gear we are providing to our Marines” Colonel Timothy Hough, Program Manager, remarked during the presentation.?He added “we provide the ability for Marines to go over the edge of the horizon, defend this experiment we call Democracy, and come home to their families and loved ones.” Attendees were given an opportunity to tour an ACV, ask Marine subject matter experts questions, and try out the newest Driver Trainer Simulator. #ItsAllAboutTheWarFighter #PEOLS #ACV #PMAAA #Marines #AmphibiousOperations

On the defense in the Philippine Sea?? Marines with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit recently conducted a live-fire defense exercise aboard the USS Green Bay (LPD 20), integrating the powerful Light Armored Vehicle-25 (LAV-25) to reinforce the ship's defense. This amphibious task force exercise demonstrated our ability to dispel enemy threats while effectively coordinating between Marines and U.S. Navy Sailors.
