Penske’s Women’s Business Resource Group recognized International Women’s Day’s accelerated action theme by learning from two celebrated leaders, who shared their strategies for career growth. High on the list of strategies for Sue Maier, Vice President of Sales Systems and Analytics and Tracy Urbanski, Senior Vice President of Freight Management Operations, were: being open to new challenges and opportunities, discovering what you are good at and building on your skill set. Maier was named to the Women in Trucking Association’s (WIT) 2024 list of Top Women to Watch in Transportation, which recognizes top performers who go the extra mile to support women in transportation. Urbanski received the 2023 Women in Supply Chain Award from Supply & Demand Chain Executive and Food Logistics. The award honors female supply chain leaders who set a strong foundation for women at all levels of a company’s supply chain. Both Maier and Urbanski said building relationships through professional networks or mentoring others helps drive your career growth and inspire the next generation of leaders.
