The chemical and polymers industry is an important economic driver in Pennsylvania spurring billions in economic activity, generating more than $700 million in federal, state and local tax revenues and supporting over 100,000 direct and indirect jobs in chemicals, polymers and rubber. But most important is chemistry's role in daily life quality. From EV's, water treatment and food packaging to medical devices, pharmaceuticals, PPE and more, chemistry is responsible for nearly every product we rely on day in and day out.
