Last week, #PSFEI Lead Electrical Engineer Brian Johnson and Mechanical Systems Engineer Brice Ohl were in Colorado delivering our Facility Infrastructure Fundamentals Training (FIFT) in-person at the Federal Building Center in Lakewood. ? The course featured hands-on learning with three facility tours: mechanical systems, electrical systems, and elevators. The building itself, packed with diverse systems, served as a perfect real-world classroom for this foundational training. Course participants benefitted from the onsite delivery of #FIFT; they explored the inner workings of the building which served to enhance their effectiveness as facility management professionals. ? #WeAre grateful to Brian and Brice for taking our content on the road, bringing practical knowledge to our clients in such a dynamic setting. ? #FacilityManagement #Training #ProfessionalDevelopment?

Congratulations to Scott Tunnell for receiving this month’s Peer Spotlight Award, presented by last month’s recipient, Paul Liadis! ?? Scott’s expertise in the natural gas industry was on evident during a recent Natural Gas RFQ Award Meeting for one of our clients. His clear, level-headed guidance and in-depth knowledge provided invaluable support, helping them navigate critical financial decisions during a time of significant change in leadership and energy policies. Paul even mentioned how glad he was to be included in this meeting, as it gave him further insight into PSFEI’s Energy Risk Management Application (ERMA). This week, the second half of our #PSFEI team participated in The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People training, led by our Education Program Manager, Beth Clark! ?? Beth first taught this impactful course to the first half of our staff in January, and #WeAre thrilled that the entire team has now had the opportunity to gain practical tools to strengthen #leadership, improve #collaboration, and enhance personal and professional effectiveness. At PSFEI, #professionaldevelopment is a priority because investing in our people leads to stronger connections, innovation, and excellence in everything we do. We also took a moment during the training to celebrate two coworkers who are expecting babies in the upcoming months with a small baby shower. ???? A few weeks ago, our #PSFEI #ElectricalTeam was on-site, working hard to assist with #PreventiveMaintenance and support testing and troubleshooting efforts. They helped address a control power issue that had been limiting the automatic transfer capabilities of the #Switchgear, ensuring the system was ready to perform when needed most. ??? Yesterday, we celebrated our annual “Fall Feast/Baked Goods Bonanza” at the office! ?? Staff members brought in treats across the full fall flavor spectrum—apple, cinnamon, cranberry, gingerbread, and pumpkin delights were everywhere! ?????? Social events like this are all part of our commitment to building community and taking those essential breaks during our busiest times. We work hard, so we make sure to pause and recharge hard, too! Wayne Macafee and Paul Moser recently visited a client facility, meeting with the on-site team and vendors to dive into boiler control discussions. While there, Wayne assisted with troubleshooting a water circulation line issue to keep everything running smoothly. ??? They also checked in on a steam distribution line repair—first reported about a year ago at the facility. The repairs are progressing well, with new piping and insulation going in, as you can see in these photos. ?? ?
