?? Brent Moritz, associate professor of supply chain management and CSCR co-director of research, was interviewed by CBN about the economic impact of the Baltimore bridge collapse. He shared about the rerouting going on in the supply chains for the auto, coal and other bulk materials industries as well as the larger impact on the logistics chain. "A lot of materials that would have come in through the port of Baltimore and gone through some of the logistics hub there would have gone south on the 695 bridge. Of course that's not there and that's going to add an hour to an hour and half of traffic for those shipments.... We'll see short term impacts and certainly regionalized, but probably not so much so for the rest of the country. So significant, but not catastrophic."
