Penn State Clinical and Translational Science Institutes accelerates discoveries to benefit human health. As a member of the National Institutes of Health Clinical and Translational Science Award Network, the institute provides resources, collaboration opportunities, services, workforce training, education and tools to help translate new research findings into tangible health benefits that improve the lives of those in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and beyond. Penn State is already a leader in clinical expertise, intellectual aptitude and innovative research. The Clinical and Translational Science Institute is the central infrastructure to catalyze discoveries, facilitate collaboration, build interdisciplinary teams, share tools and technologies, provide training and education for the future clinical and translational workforce and fund new discoveries. The institute fosters an environment that allows research discoveries to quickly and efficiently develop into health benefits. This goal is accomplished by providing: ? consultation services ? pilot funding ? workforce development and education ? research tools and resources ? networking and collaboration opportunities

Honored to be recognized alongside some of the brightest minds I have the privilege to work with and learn from! This study reports a comprehensive environmental scan of the generative AI (#GenAI) infrastructure in the national network for clinical and translational science across 36 institutions supported by the CTSA Program led by the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS) of the The National Institutes of Health (NIH). Key findings indicate a diverse range of institutional strategies, with most organizations in the experimental phase of GenAI deployment. “Health To Go” vending machines in Harrisburg and Reading are breaking barriers to care — providing free hygiene kits, wound care supplies, menstrual products, nasal naloxone and more, anytime. In just its first month, one of these smart vending machines provided over 500 essential items to 118 people, underscoring the significant need for these resources. A collaboration between Penn State College of Medicine, UPMC Central Pennsylvania and Dauphin County, this initiative is also connecting individuals with vital local services.
