After a busy week of collecting, organizing, packing, and loading supplies, Shadco LLC and Penn Mechanical Group, Inc. made delivery of much needed supplies to 2 Yancey County Donation drops in Burnsville, NC on Monday. This community was directly and devastatingly affected by the hurricane. Thanks to our fellow community members, businesses, and organizations for your contributions to this effort. Your generosity was overwhelming! The effects of this disaster will last long after the dust settles and the media coverage fades, and we are proud that we could find a way to help from 350 miles away. What our fellow Americans in that area are experiencing right now is unimaginable. Donations can be dropped off at Penn Mechanical Group’s Indiana Shop at 393 Mabon Drive, Indiana, PA 15701, or items in bulk can be delivered to our Smithton, PA Shop by appointment. Shadco is also accepting donations at their shop in Home, PA. Departure to Burnsville, NC is scheduled for Thursday, 10/10 but please contact us if you need more time. Today PMG hosted representatives from the PA DEP and Governor Josh Shapiro to the Shapiro Administrations 200th Abandoned Well Plugging project being completed in Butler County. As our Vice President Tyler Shank emphasizes, this work would not be possible without our expert team of 150+ tradesmen and tradeswomen throughout the Commonwealth and neighboring states. Good paying, sustainable, blue collar jobs benefiting the lives of Pennsylvanians for decades to come.
