So I wanted to introduce you to a team of Penn Materials Science and Engineering seniors working on a PFAS project. Ansh Goyal, Victoria Xu, Benjamin Sailors and Shivani Chawla are hoping to talk to the real world about their innovation. Shivani had a job lined up in the Federal Government which was taken away so if you are looking for an engineer with real world skills please also reach out to her. Note from the PFAS team: In a world where "forever chemicals" threaten drinking water safety, our senior design team is developing an innovative solution using metal-organic frameworks (MOFs). We are designing a columnar filtration system that captures PFAS from municipal drinking water and then thermally degrades it—allowing the MOF to be reused. We’re looking to connect with companies, industry experts, and researchers interested in advancing scalable PFAS remediation.
