Our Pet Assisted Therapy teams are made up of local residents who work in pairs, with their pets, to visit healthcare facilities, schools, libraries, drug rehabilitation centers and correctional facilities. Pets in these teams offer the vital and unique kind of therapeutic interaction only an animal can provide. Visiting with therapy animals helps people feel less lonely, depressed and anxious while relieving stress and encouraging a general feeling of well-being. JOB HIGHLIGHT - SEASONAL SUMMER CAMP COUNSELOR In this role, the Summer Camp Counselor has the opportunity to make an impacting impression on the lives of children. You will be educating them on the importance of animal welfare through fun activities, presentations and workshops. Over the past few years, we've had 500+ campers, with a plan to reach more children. JOB HIGHLIGHT - WILDLIFE TRANSPORT SPECIALIST Last year, we merged with a South Bay wildlife rehabilitation organization and a few months ago, we moved our wildlife rehabilitation program to brand-new, state of the art, wildlife care center in Saratoga. We will soon be rehabilitating almost double the amount of wild animals in San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties! We need Wildlife Transport Specialists to assist with transporting our rehabilitated or soon to be rehabilitated wild animals to/from our satellite intake centers and other local agencies. Someone with a passion for animal welfare and local wildlife, has a clean driving record, is a great team player and excellent communication skills will be successful in this role.
