Supporting Washington’s Independent Pharmacies! The closure of 83 pharmacies in Washington over the last 18 months highlights a critical issue. “Washington has been slower than other states in the country to adopt PBM regulations and aggressively pursue them and implement them,” said Jenny Arnold, PharmD, BCPS of the Washington State Pharmacy Association. There is some good news on the horizon... According to Arnold, "recently passed State Senate Bill 5213 will strengthen PBM regulations in our state. Many patients will no longer be required to use mail-order pharmacies to fill specialty prescriptions." We are dedicated to continuing to ensure accessible, community-focused pharmacy care in Washington.
