? It's that time again... Why are the fields closed at Pelican Park? ???? ??Here’s the scoop on why our fields are closed for maintenance: 1?? Grass Dormancy: During winter, our Bermuda grass goes dormant and needs time to rest and recover. 2?? Overseeding with Ryegrass: To protect the Bermuda and create a safe, green surface for winter play, we overseed with ryegrass. 3?? Rest & Recovery: Just like athletes need recovery time, the fields need rest too! After a busy season with 713 games and practices and thousands of players in cleats, the fields need recovery time to stay in top condition.??♂?????♀? ??Closing them for maintenance allows the grass to grow and regenerate, ensuring it's in perfect condition for games and practices next season. We know it can be frustrating, but it's all to ensure the fields are ready for your next season! Thank you for your patience! ???????? #pelicanpark #parkmaintenance

Had a wonderful time tonight recognizing Gary Guidroz and the CLECO team for their incredible collaboration during Hurricane Francine. Thanks to their quick mobilization and seamless efforts, we were able to clear the Castine Center just in time for a local high school to host their homecoming dance. Working alongside professionals like Gary makes my job both easier and more enjoyable! #cleco #teamwork #pelicanpark
