Last night in Philadelphia, we were thrilled to celebrate our close friend Joe Pyle, President of the Scattergood Foundation, as he received the prestigious John F. Kennedy Mental Health Leadership Award. Joe’s remarkable leadership has profoundly influenced Peg’s Foundation, inspiring us to Think Bigger and act fearlessly for those suffering in silence. In addition to this well-deserved honor, Joe was presented with an official proclamation from the Pennsylvania State Senate recognizing his dedication to the health and well-being of Pennsylvanians. His acceptance speech was flawless and deeply thought-provoking, embodying the passion and vision he brings to this work every day. Congratulations, Joe! Today, we honor the courage and sacrifice of our Veterans and proudly recognize Peg’s Foundation President and CEO, Rick Kellar, for his 28 years of dedicated service in the U.S. Army, including roles in the infantry and as a Green Beret in the Special Forces. To celebrate, Rick joined his nephew, Major Boyd, for festivities at Chapel Hill Christian School. Thank you, Rick, and all Veterans, for your commitment and bravery. ???? #VeteransDay

Thank you to all who joined us for the opening reception of the new Peg’s Gallery! It was a beautiful celebration of Peg’s legacy and the mission of Peg’s Foundation. Surrounded by friends, family, partners, artists, and community members, we gathered to honor our founder, Peg Morgan, and share the purpose of the gallery—to create a safe, inspiring space that lifts up every person, especially those facing life’s hardest challenges. As President and CEO Rick Kellar shared, 'The first thing we always strive to do is bring Peg into the room with us.' And that evening, her presence was truly felt through her family. With her daughters, Suzanne and Mary, their husbands, and Peg’s grandson, Keith, we’re reminded of the family’s deep commitment to the foundation and its mission.? And while Peg’s son, Dave, was not physically present, he held the memory and legacy of his mother close to his heart that evening. From the humble beginnings at our previous location to this impressive new gallery space, Peg’s call to “Think Bigger” truly comes to life. We continue to carry her legacy forward, blending the arts with advocacy for mental health, and building bridges of healing and connection through art. We are grateful to all the incredible artists who contributed their works for the opening exhibition, the Peg’s Foundation Board of Trustees for their vision and support, Peg’s family for their steadfast dedication, and our community both near and far. DYK?! Our founder, Peg Morgan, had a deep connection with fashion! She studied fashion and business at Kent State University from 1937-1939 and even sewed most of her own clothes in high school. Her passion for fashion lasted a lifetime, making her an avid supporter of the Kent State University School of Fashion. To honor Peg’s legacy and the arts, one of the core missions of Peg’s Foundation, we've proudly supported the Kent State School of Fashion for many years. ??? Last week, Peg’s Foundation had the pleasure of attending Scenemakers in Manhattan—an inspiring collaboration between Kent State University and the International Fashion Academy Paris. This historic treasure, dating back to 1825, has been lovingly restored to its former glory and is now ready to serve the Hudson community as a hub for arts, education, history, and gatherings. This passion project was made possible through the tireless efforts of Don Husat, Inga Walker, Kathy Russell, and the incredible support from Peg's Foundation and over 300 donors. Together, we’ve honored Peg and Burt Morgan’s legacy of philanthropy by restoring a piece of our cultural heritage in the Western Reserve, and creating a space that will bring our community together for generations to come. ??
