Last summer, we took a major step forward when we moved into our new OFFICE space in the Wilson Historic District, thanks to the generous support of The Meadows Foundation. Having this dedicated space has been transformative—not just for our team, but for the emerging filmmakers and creatives we serve. It has given us the stability to grow, collaborate, and expand the opportunities we provide to the next generation of storytellers in the DFW Metroplex. This space allows our staff to meet consistently, organize and maintain equipment, and build synergy in the Dallas film community. We are deeply grateful for this support and excited for The Pegasus Film Family! (We continue to host classes at the Dallas Public Library, Dallas County Offices, and MPS and would still love to collaborate on shared space with other community?partners. If you're interested in partnering with us or supporting our work, let’s connect!) #PegasusMediaProject #DallasFilmAndMedia #ALLVoices #DallasCreatives #MeadowsFoundation #PegasusFilmFestival #Workforce #CreativeWorkforce

We are excited to introduce Isaiah Curry as the Director of the Pegasus Film Festival 2025, PMP's youth intern program! This year promises to be the biggest and most impactful yet. As we celebrate the festival’s tenth year, Isaiah will be guiding the team to provide high school filmmakers with more opportunities to showcase their work, engage with industry professionals, and be part of a community that values inclusivity and innovation. Be sure to share with young filmmakers so they can submit their films for a chance to premiere at the festival in Dallas, TX, June 20-22, 2025! Also, don’t miss our Movie Trivia Night fundraiser tomorrow night at Half Price Books. It’s a great chance to support the festival and show off your film knowledge! #PegasusFilmFestival #YouthFilmmakers #FilmIndustry #FilmFestival #DallasTX #SupportTheArts #PFF2025 #PMPPFF
I’m Isaiah Curry and I’m honored to have taken on the role of Director for the Pegasus Film Festival 2025! This year will undoubtedly be the biggest and most exciting yet, and I’m thrilled to continue working alongside an amazing team to bring this vision to life. As we celebrate our tenth year, the festival is still the nation’s largest student-led high school film festival, and I’m excited to help continue this tradition of innovation, leadership, and collaboration. In my role as Director, I will be overseeing the entire festival process, from coordinating with our incredible team of student leaders and mentors, to ensuring a seamless experience for filmmakers and attendees alike. I’ll be working closely with industry professionals, festival partners, and the amazing students involved to provide opportunities for learning, growth, and networking. This year, we’re focusing on expanding our programming, hosting panels, and providing more opportunities for our participants to connect with the industry and elevate their filmmaking careers. Since its inception, the Pegasus Film Festival has provided a platform for young filmmakers to showcase their work in front of industry professionals and peers. What started as a small community event has now evolved into a multi-day celebration of storytelling, creativity, and youth leadership, with opportunities to network, attend workshops, and participate in panels. We’re proud to offer an inclusive space in the film industry, and our 2025 festival will continue this legacy. We’re also hosting a Trivia Night fundraiser tomorrow night at Half Price Books on Sunday, March 16th at 6:00! At this Trivia Night, we’ll play games and discuss Pegasus’ history, Film History worldwide, film in Dallas, and so much more! Come support the festival and help make the 2025 Pegasus Film Festival even bigger and better. If you're a high school filmmaker, don’t miss out on the chance to premiere your film at the 2025 Pegasus Film Festival in Dallas, TX, June 20 - 22 by submitting to Film Freeway! Check the link in our bio to submit your film today! Isaiah Curry Director, Pegasus Film Festival 2025

We love our fellows and the work they do to amplify to work of local arts organizations and artists!
Last June, Pegasus Contemporary Ballet presented their 2024 Synergy performance, and I had the pleasure of shooting and editing some behind the scenes content along side other Pegasus Media Project fellows (of no relation to P.M Ballet). Check out this social media reel!

We are honored to have been selected as an awardee of The Center for Cultural Power's Constellations Grant Cohort along with these two amazing film and media non-profits. Over the past two years, this support has enabled us to focus on what truly matters—expanding our ecosystem of learners with film and media industry partners, strengthening our internal team, and fine-tuning our programming to equip our apprentices and interns to become part of the North Texas film and media community. This funding has provided us the time to deepen our impact and continue producing transformative stories that drive meaningful change. In addition to the financial support, we’ve received important policy guidance and soul-nourishing encouragement that strengthens our work with underrepresented communities in the industry. Thank you to The Center for Cultural Power for believing in our mission and supporting our journey! #ConstellationsFund #StoriesToChangeTheWorld #NarrativePower #TrustBasedPhilanthropy #ConstellationsFund2023 #DallasFilm #DallasFilmApprenticeship

After five months of intensive training, mentorship, and hands-on workshops, our apprentices presented their pitch decks at Pitch Day, which marks a milestone of their hard work, creativity, and collaboration under the guidance of our dedicated industry professionals. A note of gratitude goes out to our panel of judges, Kaysie Ellingson, Sophia Basiliadis, Niloo Jalilvand, Ryan Blitzer, Tamitha Barbosa Curiel, Chelsea ONeal Sweat, Christian Vasquez, Allan Thomas, Marisa Mendoza, and Hal Dantzler for helping us create an ecosystem of learners where artists can learn, grow and contribute meaningfully. Your time, expertise, and invaluable feedback help us shape the future of these rising filmmakers! The panel selected three outstanding projects: *Predator's Mark by Jacob Mejia *Let Go by Maggie Hong *Subscribe by Damian Price Last week, the apprentices?held their first production meetings with their core groups, taking the first steps toward bringing their visions to life! We are so excited for the next chapter! Our PMP team had the privilege of recording the opening artist cohort sessions at the ARTS for Everybody capstone convening meeting. We were honored to preserve these moments with a remarkable group of artists, researchers and social practitioners. In moments like these, this important and meaningful work reminds us that connection and collective effort create a healthier, more vibrant community. Join us tonight at City Hall as we celebrate the artists and visionaries who make it all possible! One of the highlights of 2023 was being included in the Dallas Truth, Racial Healing & Transformation Racial Equity Now Cohort (Re-Now). There, we connected with Jess Garland and her Swan Strings initiative. Jess applied through our partnership portal to be one of three nonprofits collaborating with our MAP apprentices to create mini-promos or docs. In the spring and summer of 2024, we produced a beautiful project brought to life by our talented Fellows—Judah Agbonkhina, N'Kole Bryant, Saige Carraway, Harleigh Nelson, and Tito Contreras.?? Our connection with Aurora dates back to early film club collaborations, and seeing connections overlap in meaningful ways is rewarding. It’s an honor to support our apprentices, connect them with inspiring artists, and witness their work being amplified at AURORA | Art, Technology, Community's Biennial 2024 tonight—this is what the beloved community is all about!? ??? #Collaboration #Community #RacialEquity #DallasArts #DallasFilm #CreativePartnerships #Storytelling #NonprofitLeadership #SwanStrings
