At Peer Consultants, we are proud to support our employees in sharing their expertise and experiences. Recently, Prathyaj Mantha of our team had the privilege of speaking to a cohort of environmental engineering and sustainability students at the University of Delaware, led by Professor Dr Saxe. During the session, we highlighted our ongoing partnership with the BlackBelt Unincorporated Wastewater Program (BBUWP), a critical initiative aimed at addressing wastewater management challenges in underserved communities across Alabama. To date, we’ve installed over 150 septic systems, with plans to install 300 more, bringing environmental solutions to those in need. A huge thank you to Dr. Jennie Saxe for the opportunity to share our mission and inspire the next generation of environmental engineers. This past Monday, I had the pleasure of speaking to a cohort of environmental engineering and sustainability students at the University of Delaware. It was an enriching experience to share the important work we are doing with the BlackBelt Unincorporated Wastewater Program (BBUWP), representing PEER Consultants, P.C. , and to engage with such passionate students. The importance of tackling WASH challenges cannot be understated, and it works best when we tackle the problem through a bottom-up approach. We believe our work is laying the foundation for community driven initiatives while tackling multi-dimensional challenges. On behalf of the #Hengineers in CIEG465 at #udel, I want to extend many thanks to Prathyaj Mantha at PEER Consultants, P.C. for an engaging presentation about the on-going work with the Black Belt Unincorporated Wastewater Program (BBUWP) to improve sanitation for communities in Lowndes County, Alabama. Though the class is titled "Global Sustainable Engineering", it is important to me that our engineers understand that significant sanitation challenges exist relatively close to home. I look forward to seeing the progress made toward improved sanitation for all.

Maria has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Belgrade and a master’s degree in system engineering from George Washington University. She has been with PEER for over 7 years now and is a celebrated member of the team. 🔮 Fun Fact: Did you know that Serbia is known for being the birthplace of famous inventor Nikola Tesla? His work on electricity and energy laid the foundation for many of the technologies we use today and is the inspiration behind the name for the Car brand - Tesla!

Ricardo is the Director of Environmental Engineer Management Services at PEER Consultants, P.C. Ricardo has a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the Universidad Centroamericana José Simeón Cañas and a Master of Science in Environmental engineering from Florida International university. 🔮 Fun Fact: El Salvador has been embracing agroecology, a sustainable farming method that combines traditional agricultural practices with modern science. It focuses on reducing the use of harmful chemicals, conserving water, and fostering biodiversity.
