How does India invest in crypto? Thrilled to introduce the third edition of ‘India’s Crypto Portfolio 2024.’ This is our yearly report on how India is investing in crypto. Here are our top findings: 1. Delhi-NCR has the highest number of crypto investors in the country. Bengaluru is the second. Smaller cities like Botad and Kolkata have entered the top 10, showing that adoption is growing beyond metros. 2. India loves meme coins. While a majority of investors prefer to invest in more stable cryptos like Bitcoin and Ethereum, they also love meme coins. Dogecoin leads the way, while tokens like PEPE delivered a staggering 1373% return, emerging as the year’s top performer. 3. CoinSwitch now has over 2 crore crypto users. Users prefer to trade late into the night. The prime trading hours are 9 - 11 pm. 4. Three out of four (75%) of India’s crypto investors are under 35, reflecting the growing confidence and participation of young Indians in the asset.
