This month's Staff Spotlight is Victor Bailey, one of our Community Engagement Specialists. We're glad to have Victor as a part of the Community Outreach team helping to connect people with meaningful job opportunities. Length of service: I have a total of 8 years 10 months and 6 days of service to Peckham. Favorite part about working at Peckham: Helping people and building relationships is by far my favorite part about working for Peckham. I love seeing people develop skills that they had not had prior to being here with us at Peckham. I take pride in knowing I’m helping people create a living for themselves and their families to create a sustainable life. I most enjoy knowing that I’m making a difference in the community that I was raised in. Fun Fact: Fun Fact for me… Hmmm. I have an unusual favorite season. I would say my favorite season of the year, is Football season. And if you are a Wolverines fan. You are family to me.

Proud to be a nonprofit partner with accessiBe and its work in elevating and educating on digital accessibility for people with disabilities. Check out this inspirational blog post from one of its leaders.
February is Low Vision Awareness Month, and as we end this month we're excited to spotlight Sheldon Lewis from the Nonprofit Partnerships team. Sheldon plays a pivotal role in fostering relationships with hundreds of disability-focused organizations, advancing accessiBe's mission to make the internet accessible and inclusive for everyone. 💙 As someone living with #Choroideremia, a progressive eye condition, Sheldon brings invaluable insights to conversations around #VisionLoss and #InclusiveDesign. This month, he shared his perspective on a White Cane Week panel with Fondation Habilitas Foundation and spoke to graduate students at McGill University about the impact of designing for inclusion. 🙌 Sheldon reminds us that accessibility isn’t just a checkbox, it’s the foundation for true #Innovation. Read his insights on our blog to learn how we can all contribute to #DigitalInclusion.💡 https://lnkd.in/d4_hCzaW #DigitalInclusion #Accessibility #DesignThinking #DisabilityAdvocacy #LowVision #NonprofitLeadership #AccessForAll Image Description: Low vision awareness month, Sheldon Lewis Nonprofit Partnerships.
