Each year during the holiday season across all of our locations and departments, Peckham staff and board members donate goods, volunteer service and money to support team members and their families, from providing Thanksgiving meals, to gifts for veterans and other vulnerable families in need, we have raised more than $40,000 for team members and their families this year. We've also given more than 10,000 pounds of food to community organizations including Homeless Angels and Lansing City Rescue Mission. Peckham believes in the power of "WE" we are the community.

Today, we had the honor of presenting MI Senator Debbie Stabenow with the Peckham Champion Award. The award recognizes elected officials who have shown outstanding commitment in supporting the employment of people with disabilities and other barriers. Senator Stabenow has been an #AbilityOne Champion since 2005, and a long-time supporter of Peckham and our mission. She has spent her career focusing on improving access to health care, creating jobs, supporting American manufacturing, agriculture, veterans and much more. This year's annual holiday party was a huge success with more than 600 team members and their families attending. From a great holiday dinner, face painting and balloon animals, creative art space, bingo, a 360-photo booth, and photos with Santa, Mrs. Claus & the Gingerbread character, there was something for everyone.

This month's Staff Spotlight is one of our longtime leaders, Matt June, Chief Information Officer. Thank you for your compassionate leadership Matt! Length of service: 22 years Favorite part about working at Peckham: "I love our mission and seeing the impact of our jobs on the Team Member’s lives." Fun Fact: "My wife and I love camping and plan to spend winters camping all around the country after I retire."
