??? Project Update??? Our team is making solid progress on the renovation of this early 20th-century, 9-bedroom West Falmouth home. This three-story residence with sweeping curved roofs is getting a thoughtful transformation, balancing modern functionality with its traditional Cape character. To elevate and protect the home, we’ve lifted the structure above the floodplain. We are now pouring a new foundation. Once the house is lowered back down into the foundation, we will be moving into a full renovation, including a garage rebuild, expanded living spaces, and a new exterior roof deck. Despite snow, icy rain, and harsh coastal conditions, our team and trade partners are working hard to keep the project moving ahead. House lifting and grading accomplished in just 2.5 days! We’re excited to have Justin Spurr on board as a Superintendent at The Pearl Company! With 20+ years of experience in commercial and high-end residential construction, Justin brings a wealth of hands-on knowledge and a passion for building exceptional spaces. His background includes supervising custom homes over 10,000 sq. ft., working on notable projects across Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard, and commercial projects under $50M. In 2021, his dedication was recognized with Superintendent of the Year awards. He got Gold Prism award from Builders and Remodelers Association of Greater Boston and Silver BRICC award from Home Builders and Remodelers Association of Cape Cod. Outside of work, Justin enjoys time with his wife, kids, and their dog Rocky - as well as beach drives, kayaking, and golf. Progress is moving fast on our Fall River project, transforming a late 1800s church into 46 market-rate, two-bedroom apartments while preserving its rich architectural character. We’re wrapping up rough framing and starting MEP rough-ins, keeping us on track for a late Fall 2025 opening. Key architectural features we’re maintaining include: ?? Slate roofing ?? MILESTONE ALERT: Nantucket Airport Employee Housing Project. We’re excited to share that construction is in full swing on the Nantucket Airport Employee Housing project! We’re proud to support Nantucket Memorial Airport in their effort to bring 7,000 SF of much needed housing and comfortable accommodations for airport employees, supporting operations on the island. With a modular approach, we’re able to build faster, ensure top-notch quality, and keep disruptions to a minimum to airport operations. Our Pearl Team is managing all phases of construction from site clearing and foundation work, to MEP systems and finishes, ensuring a smooth installation and high-quality living space.
