I was 18 years old when I first visited #NewYorkCity in the year 2000, growing up, I watched shows like Seinfeld & Friends that influenced my impression of the city While exploring #Manhattan, I was blown away by the energy, the sprawling urban skyscrapers, and just how safe I felt walking its historic streets & riding the subway What I remember the most about that early experience was how courteous, professional, and respectful the officers of the New York City Police Department were to tourists like myself - and they were everywhere! I even took a photo with an officer on the street corner near #TimesSquare (which I will post at a future date if this gets enough likes ?? ) Today, 24 years later, the NYPD is still fighting crime & protecting the public but with advanced #computervision technology!
