?? We had the pleasure of attending the Say Yes Buffalo Say Yes Forever Breakfast. This was a great opportunity to understand all the great things they are doing as an organization in assisting students within Buffalo schools, and have some fun with trivia and music . ?? #ileavepeaceprints

Here are some fun facts about her and why she joined the team: Personal interests: What is your favorite food? Anything Thai (especially congee)???? As we continue this month of honoring women's history, let's take a moment to honor the legacy of Sister Karen, who built the foundation to make Peaceprints of WNY what it is today. Sister Karen was a loving, forgiving, nonviolent woman who spent her life giving others a second chance. #womenshistorymonth #ileavepeaceprints

?? Meet our newest intern, Mirelis ?? She will be joining the team this semester as a Project Blue intern. Here are some facts about her and why she joined Peaceprints. Title: Development Intern Personal interests: What is your favorite food? My favorite food is wings. (Bar-bill’s wings are my favorite!)?? What is something you can't live without? I can’t live without my library card. I love to read in my spare time and the Buffalo Erie County Public Libraries always has the book I’m looking for!?? Fun facts: A fun fact about me is that I really enjoy listening to music and going to concerts! My favorite concert was when Chappell Roan came to Buffalo last May.?? Why Peaceprints? I chose to intern at Peaceprints because I want an opportunity to make a change on the individual level for those impacted by the criminal justice system. I’ve spent a lot of time in my undergraduate career learning about the historical inequalities within the justice system and the struggles faced by those reentering society after incarceration. By interning at Peaceprints, I gain insight into the individuals working to alleviate some of the stress that comes with the reentry process, and I hope to be a factor in that process as well. #ileavepeaceprints
