Please join us in celebrating the fabulous 87th birthday of our client Dorothy at Astoria Senior Living & Memory Care! ???? ?? With a loving family that includes three girls, three boys, a whopping 16 grandkids, and four great-grandkids, Dorothy & her late husband built a legacy in their lifelong home — where they laid down roots in South Omaha back in 1960. While her kids rave about Dorothy’s culinary skills, they discovered a family secret: She frequently whipped up liver & onions when the family was growing to please her husband, all the while secretly disliking the dish herself. Turns out, her maternal instincts kicked in as we were told she “read somewhere” that liver & onions were “good for the baby!” Happy birthday to you, dear Dorothy! ??????

Happy 76th birthday to our client Steven at Astoria Senior Living & Memory Care! ?????? Steven celebrated today with a chocolate cream pie (per his request) … a nice touch since it also coincides with Pi Day! Having lived in Germany for 26 years as a painter and art teacher, Steven is also an avid collector of trinkets and antiques. Together with his family, Peaceful Hearts had a great time celebrating him today, and he told his birthday was “just perfect!” Cheers to you, Steven! ??????

LOOKIN’ SO FINE AT ??9??9????! Today we celebrate our client Elaine’s 99th birthday! Born in 1926, Elaine shared a few memories from her childhood today during a party PHH threw for her … including that she had a pet rooster named “PeeWee” on the family farm growing up. She also told us, “My teacher Mrs. Duncan always had a sweet for me and it was always a baked sweet potato.” Elaine completely partied down today & delighted in eating a chocolate cupcake while our music therapist Hsin-Yi played songs with which Elaine loves to sing along. “Life has been an absolute treasure,” Elaine told us. YOU are a treasure, Elaine, and we wish you a very happy 99th birthday! ??????

?? Happy 102nd birthday to our client Bob! ?? Today we celebrated not just numbers, but a life rich with laughter and heart. Surrounded by family & loved ones, Ovation Heartwood Preserve staff, and his PHH team, Bob lit up the room today like he always does. As a former radiologist and Navy veteran, Bob has a wealth of hilarious and memorable stories that keep us all entertained. One of our favorites? Bob’s story about his late wife who the head nurse at a hospital while he worked as an intern. He said she would call him in for late-night “emergencies” just so she could see him for even a moment! Bob, you redefine what it means to age gracefully — you’re a true inspiration! Happy Birthday, Bob! ??????

Today we celebrate Peaceful Hearts client George at Florence Home of Omaha who turned 72 years young! ??7??2???? George, who can be quite the jokester, brought a lot of laughs to the party and it was so wonderful to honor him & his life today. He told us “cupcakes & friends” made his day special. Happy Birthday, dear George! ??????
