Peaceful Acres Horses is offering an interactive, hands-on, wholesome, rewarding and memorable experience for kids and teens who are interested in horses and what it takes to maintain their wellbeing and their stable. Peaceful Acres Horses is accepting new participants for our October 21 – November 21 session. There are ONLY spots available for 4 kids and 4 teens to enjoy this special after-school program. Participants can expect to spend valuable time in a nature-based, beautifully scenic place surrounded by many rescued horses, donkeys, minis and mules, plus a few really cool goats! Parents...this is a no ??electronics zone! ?? Participants will learn the foundations and basics of safety around equines, how to tend to their feed and cleaning their spaces and why these things are necessary to maintain a healthy horse and establish a spectacular relationship. I'm beyond grateful to be writing the final stories and personal growth & professional development steps for my book with my beautiful and talented daughter! The final story is complete! It was the missing piece to complete my book "In Search of Purpose: One Woman's Journey To Save and Restore Horses Who Bring Hope to People" This was the story that was the most difficult but also the most heartfelt and encouraging to write. The horse who saved and changed my life and the lives of countless others, "A Fanci Bid", aka Kelly. ".... Kelly, Cassie, Zippy, Twister, and Valentino not only saved my life through the most devastating of times, but they also became the horses who created Peaceful Acres Horses with me as an equine-guided emotionally supportive organization. Together we would help others through their grief and loss, their struggles and turmoil, every day they encouraged and empowered youth and adults in a way that only they could do. In the pages of In Search of Purpose: One Woman’s Journey to Save and Restore Horses Who Bring Hope to People, you will read my heartfelt stories of my journey through fear and deep sadness. My personal growth and extensive commitment to learning how to become mentally, emotionally, and physically fit and how to help others to do so too. You, the reader, will learn the unique and beneficial daily habits and strategies I have embraced to find stability, purpose, possibilities and potential in my life. You are encouraged to use them as your own. Kelly passed away on April 28, 2017 after we shared the most amazing 22 years together. She took a piece of me with her when she left our peaceful stable place, my heart shattered, my body became frozen, to this day I miss her and long for that connection with her again. What Kelly left to me and to others is a legacy of empowerment, courage, hope, peace, and an unwavering commitment to share the healing power of equine-guided emotionally supportive coaching. Kelly was and still is my Heart Horse, my beautiful, sweet, and sassy little filly that not only saved my life, but saved and restored the lives of many. Love and Gratitude Kelly ~ I miss you! " In Search of Purpose is now in the final edit stage with my friend and Peaceful Acres Horses committed volunteer Kathi Reynolds. I am completing the book challenge with a few other Maxwell Leadership Coaches, Mentors and Speakers and I am grateful to Jim Edwards for this incredible book writing opportunity!
