On September 24, 2024, the Van Buren Township Parks and Recreation team celebrated the ribbon-cutting of the Iron Belle Trail Section H at Riggs Park. PEA Group is honored to have contributed to this remarkable project, which includes a new sidewalk along the south side of E. Huron River Drive, extending from Edgemont Street to Martinsville Road.

As the 2025 opening of the Gordie Howe International Bridge approaches, exciting opportunities for cross-border trail tourism are emerging. The Great Lakes Way, along with its partners, is hosting the State of the Strait Conference on October 22nd at the University of Windsor, focusing on this growing potential. This bi-national event gathers government managers, researchers, and environmental organizations to address ecosystem conditions and work toward a sustainable future for the Detroit River and Western Lake Erie. Exciting news for Ypsilanti Township! On September 14, 2024, the Janice Anschuetz Highland Preserve Trail and Boardwalk officially opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. PEA Group is proud to have contributed to this Washtenaw County Parks & Recreation Commission project, giving residents the opportunity to explore and enjoy the beauty of the surrounding native landscape.

We’re thrilled to announce that Shannon Sylte PLA, ASLA, has passed her licensing exam, making her PEA Group’s 12th Professional Landscape Architect! ? Her dedication, perseverance, and passion for landscape architecture continue to inspire us. We’re proud to have her on our team and look forward to all the amazing things she’ll achieve in the next chapter of her career. ? Congratulations, Shannon!

This past Monday, PEA Group team members volunteered with Life Remodeled for their Annual Six-Day Project to uplift Detroit's Cooley neighborhood. After seven rewarding years of involvement, we're grateful for the continued opportunity to make a difference. Until next year!
