A well written opinion describing the important role LDTs play in public health and patient care. We need more decentralized testing capacities, to provide rapid, and cost effective diagnostic, and protect ordinary individuals and low resource patients from corporate extortion. Being said that small laboratories need more clear guidance to improve the quality, not more burdensome regulation.
