As the steel can be polished up to a 1200 grit, it is particularly suitable for applications where a shiny surface is required. In our very extensive product portfolio, the largest open-die forgings are certainly a highlight. The video provides impressions of the forging of a 160 t ingot on our 80 MN press. A generator shaft for power generation is produced in several forging heats. After forging, the component still weighs over 100 tons. The shaft is currently being heat-treated and then machined. When this component is delivered, it still weighs more than 60 tons. ________________________________ In unserem sehr umfangreichen Produktportfolio sind gr??te Freiformschmiedeteile sicher ein Highlight. Das Video vermittelt Impressionen von der Schmiedung eines 160 t Rohblocks auf unserer 80 MN-Presse. In mehreren Schmiedehitzen entsteht eine Generatorwelle für die Energieerzeugung. Nach der Schmiedung hat das Bauteil noch ein Gewicht von über 100 Tonnen. Zurzeit wird die Welle w?rmebehandelt und anschlie?end mechanisch bearbeitet.
