While walking a job site, PCI Chicago Superintendent Mark Kropke responded to calls for help and found an electrician unresponsive after a fall. He coordinated with 911, ensured CPR was administered, and cleared space for paramedics—actions that helped save a life. ???? Connor Davidson, Journeyman from PCI Memphis, took immediate action when an ironworker fell and was left suspended in his harness. Knowing the urgency, Connor used a scissor lift to lower him safely, all within the timeframe needed to prevent serious injury. His knowledge of fall protection protocols made all the difference. ???? Project Manager Tyler Hampton was off the job when he witnessed a driver having a medical emergency on the road. Using the CPR skills he learned in PCI Phoenix’s branch CPR training, he performed chest compressions until paramedics arrived. Tyler's actions contributed to helping the driver survive. ???? Mark, Connor, and Tyler stepped up when it mattered most. A new group of attendees took on PE Bootcamp this week, sharpening their communication skills and tackling a hands-on bridge-building challenge. Each team created their own company, managing safety, features, and change orders while constructing a bridge out of glue and popsicle sticks. After pitching their designs, the real test began—adding weight until the structures gave out. Congratulations to Bridging the Gap for winning Best Overall Presentation and an honorable mention to Little Giants Construction for their outstanding focus on safety! In the strength test, CMR Construction led the way with a bridge that held an impressive 81.6 pounds. As one attendee put it, “PE Bootcamp allowed peers to interact and collaborate on a level that could not be accomplished anywhere else... It encouraged us to not only better ourselves but also learn [to navigate] our weaknesses and how to apply them to everyday activities.” Well done to all the PEs who completed this impactful training, and thank you to the event leaders and facilitators! ???? #PCIproud #ProjectEngineers #EmployeeDevelopment #TeamBuilding

At our recent Quarterly Safety Focus (QSF) event, teams across PCG explored the "Why Behind the Why"—the deeper meaning behind our safety policies and the real impact they have in the field. This discussion highlighted how every safety initiative, from improved helmets to our Ladders L.A.S.T. policy, is driven by real experiences and the goal of keeping everyone safe. Some branches took this a step further by sharing personal whys—stories of how safety has directly affected their lives and the people they work with. As one team member put it, “Understanding the why behind these policies makes it easier to follow them because you see how they protect you and your team.” A huge thank you to our field and safety teams for continuing to make safety personal! #PCIproud #MyWhyPCI
