Today we are celebrating the reward of hard work as we witnessed the first ship pass through the reopened channel following the Key Bridge collapse one month ago. PCCI’s engineers have been busy supporting U.S. Navy SUPSALV to aid in the planning, preparation and execution of the safe and strategic removal of wreckage from the Francis Scott Key Bridge to allow ships to resume passage to the Port of Baltimore. Below is an example of 3D sonar images we took using CODA Octopus that allowed dive teams supporting the salvage work to efficiently navigate the wreckage in poor visibility of less than 2 ft.
