Signage is going up at Taylor Pointe ?? All 3 buildings of this market-rate project are nearing completion, which will soon deliver 177 units of housing in Nashua, NH. The site is separated by a public street, so it was important for the design to create an active street front. An arched canopy highlights the main entrance and adds visual interest. The Piscataway Bioenergy project keeps trucking along…literally. The team has marked another poop-to-power milestone as trucks are now delivering biosolids from our Western Branch Water Resource Recovery Facility (WRRF) to Piscataway. Soon Piscataway will be receiving biosolids from our other WRRFs where methane gas will be captured during the wastewater treatment process, upgraded to Renewable Natural Gas & sold to Montgomery County to power their Ride On buses. The Piscataway Bioenergy Project will transform how WSSC Water manages biosolids — the nutrient-rich organic materials produced by the wastewater treatment process. By using innovative green technology, this project will significantly reduce biosolids volume and increase the quality of the remaining Class A product. HDR has been serving as WSSC Water’s trusted program management advisor for the $270-million bioenergy program intended to reduce operating costs by more than $3 million per year, while also reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 15% by capturing and cleaning digester gas to help power the Piscataway Water Resource Recovery Facility.
