As we continue to recognize our staff for their outstanding efforts with our One Experience Awards, we're excited to share the winner of our Peter Burwash Service Award! ?? Congratulations to our 2024 Peter Burwash Service Award winner, Jeff Henkelman! ?? With over 30 years of service, Jeff has been a pillar in PBI and has made a huge contribution to the company’s success. During his long career, he has lived and worked in a variety of positions for PBI around the world with multiple five-star hospitality companies. It helped him to learn and experience first-hand what true customer service is all about. Along with his natural attitude to help others, this resulted in an impressive career in which he was awarded and recognized within PBI — initially as a Rookie, but ultimately as PBI Professional of the Year. Jeff’s service heart and attitude to helping others is truly inspiring, and that has made him touch the hearts of those around him. To date, he continues to serve and work supporting our locations and teams with his invaluable insight and knowledge. “The Peter Burwash Service Award could not go to a better person or representative of PBI,” said René Zondag, President. "He has dedicated his life to tennis and PBI — he always embraced every opportunity to be of service by helping, supporting and educating others. Not surprisingly he is a family man and has the support of Ilona, who has been alongside him throughout his journey in PBI. Jeff has made a lasting impact everywhere he lived and worked. It's a new week, and we're thrilled to continue the recognition of our outstanding staff with our One Experience Awards! Our One Experience Awards highlight some of the exceptional employees within CDT and PBI who work relentlessly behind the scenes to support and ensure our company's success. We're kicking off this week's awards by recognizing our Support Staff of the Year! ?? Congratulations to our Support Staff of the Year, Megan O'Leary! ?? If you've ever booked yourself a custom camp at one of our select resort locations, odds are, you likely worked closely with Megan to plan out the details of your trip! Megan O'Leary plays a pivotal role on the Travel and Experiences team as Sales Manager. In her role, Megan is responsible for helping guide customers and clients that are looking to book custom tennis, pickleball and padel vacations. Megan's service-first mentality has helped lead the travel team to a record breaking year of revenue and participation in 2024. She constantly looks at ways to help the travel team become more efficient and effective and is a great team player. “Megan is so deserving of this award and I couldn't be happier to have such a fantastic person on our team,” said Katie Steck, Director of Travel and Event Experiences. "Megan is responsible for a major portion of our travel business and her attention to detail is second to none. She takes a lot of pride in truly taking care of every individual guest and group, and that is very special. Every day she is challenging the status quo and helping us grow and evolve as a racquets travel business. Congrats Megan!" Elliot Muth has been a standout in 2024 for PBI, making his debut in a leadership role as the seasonal director at Lonesome Valley. Elliot's dedication and hard work brought the club's racquets programs to new heights this year, and his natural curiosity became one of his greatest strengths, driving him to ask insightful questions and absorb knowledge. This proactive approach allowed him to discover innovative ways to enhance the club and deliver an exceptional experience for its members. "Working with Elliot has really been one of my top highlights of the year," said Jeff Henkelman, Vice President of PBI. “You can tell that he genuinely cares about the people he works with, and I admire his relentless curiosity. With curiosity being one of our company’s core foundations, Elliot made it a point to always ask the right questions and seek out new and fresh ways to improve the member’s experience at the club this year.
