Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Utah recently convened a panel of experts to discuss health care #affordability challenges and some possible solutions. Experts include PBGH’s Bill Kramer, Katie Martin of Health Care Cost Institute; and Ginger Chinn of Salt Lake Chamber. According to Kramer, “We’re in a crisis that has been going on for years and is growing in intensity. As health care costs increase, employers have less money to invest in business development, innovation and wages. Given that life expectancy in this country is decreasing, we’re not getting value for the money we’re investing in health care.” Kramer, Martin and Chinn discussed the importance of #PublicPolicy, #innovation and #advocacy in addressing health care costs.
