Established on π-day, 2024, Pale Blue Dot Consulting is an employee-owned, Florida-based, small business, providing ecological consulting services. The name is derived from a quote by scientist Carl Sagan who was remarking on the 1990 Voyager spacecraft photo of earth from 6.4 billion km (3B miles) away. Here is part of that quote: "There is perhaps no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image of our tiny world. To me, it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another, and to preserve and cherish the pale blue dot, the only home we've ever known."
Our name reflects our ethos which is to deal kindly and fairly in all matters, because this is all that we have. This translates to better outcomes for our clients and the environment.
