In today’s fast-moving and competitive ecommerce landscape, understanding how consumers choose to pay—and what influences their trust—is more critical than ever. The 2025 Ecommerce Payments Experience Report released by Payments Consulting Network and Power Retail, supported by Stripe and Zip Co dives into key online shopping trends, particularly consumer payment preferences.?? ? The findings reveal that while Debit/Credit Cards remain widely known, 92% of consumers are familiar with PayPal, 88% with Bank Transfers, and 86% with Flexible Payment Options—a remarkable rise for a payment type that only emerged a decade ago. In the last six months, 40% of consumers have used Flexible Payment Options.? ?? ??
